Maker's Mark White Dog

I tried this at the Victoria Whisky Festival in 2012.  The nose on this hard to find expression (they only sell it at the distillery) is classic white dog corn whisky... corn, sweet, perhaps some bubble gum or fresh paint notes.  Overall not too harsh, in fact quite fragrant and nice.  The taste however is classic new make spirit or white dog... so called because it can bite you.   Very hot in the mouth and when that fades there is a little hint of caramel or even the banana note I always find in Makers Mark.  There is a reason they don't sell it...
