Caol Ila 2011 Distillers Edition

I am starting to really like Caol Illa.  This expression has a nose that combines sweet woodsmoke and salty sea air.  Delicious.  The taste is sweet brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon, suggesting some bourbon cask influence.  The finish is peppery, some peat comes through and some heat.  A savoury and sweet combination creating a complex (and delicious) whisky.
