Hibiki 30 year old

This is one of the most expensive whiskies I have ever tried and definately the most expensive bottle I ever bought at over $900!  It is very rare, hard to find and super expensive but it is good, really good.  Tammy really liked it too and was happily knocking it back as we tasted it until I mentioned the price.  The nose is sweet with fruit (green apples?), toasted marshmallow, cinnamon and caramel.  It had a vanilla ice cream note that I also found in the Hibiki 17 year old.  The taste is also sweet, rich and complex, like caramel and brown sugar.  The finish has bourbon notes and lots of toasted oak.  Fantastic stuff.  With water it gets a little spicier in taste and finish, I think I prefer this one neat.
