Compass Box Orangerie

A very interesting product, scotch whisky infused with orange and spices.  The nose has... orange.  Not fresh citrus but more of a satsuma, xmas morning orange smell.  With time it even becomes more like the "fake" orange nose of Fanta or orange squash.  The nose really sets you up for sweet, candied taste, however the first taste is spicy and oaky, but still smooth.  Then comes the orange notes and flashes of maltiness and even caramel.  Suggests that there is some pretty good whisky, possibly grain whisky, in this "franken-whisky".  The finish is not long, orange peel and bitter orange pith and the spices also come through.  This feels to me like a whisky drink aimed at people who don't like whisky.... not sure about that.
