Penderyn Sherrywood

The nose has sherry influence of grapes, sultanas and fruit cake.  Behind those notes are the familiar grain and cereal notes of Penderyn.   The taste is sweet, more familiar Pernderyn spirit notes, butter, pears and of course sherry.  Nice certainly but sherry is doing all the heavy lifting here.  The finish has a little spice but suggests not much cask influence (ie young).  Feels like Penrderyn have wrapped young spirit in a heavy sherry coat before sending out into the world.
