Dalmore 15 year old

As much as all their high end, high price, "whisky as an investment" nonsense annoys me (and it really does annoy me) I have to say Dalmore does crank out good stuff at the lower end of the scale.  The nose on this 15 year expression has oak, sherry and a little alcohol.  The taste is smooth with chocolate, more sherry, banana and vanilla.  The finish has lots of wood, even ash.  Not quite as integrated as I would like and finish left me a little disappointed... but overall not bad at all.
