Laphroaig Select

The new, lighter, friendlier Laphroaig, which seems like an oxymoron… like a gentle, considerate mugger. The nose has peat and vanilla and the taste is light bodied and sweet with lemon, coconut and some toffee.   New American oak influence is evident. The finish is light, clean and even a little minty. While not your dad’s Laphroaig this has some redeeming features and comes across more like an Ardbeg to me.
