I wrote about this whisky in a recent blog.... "Deanston and the Power of Suggestion". The nose has malted barley, lemon peel, over ripe banana and even almonds. Very fresh and enticing. The taste is very smooth, sweet at first and then a nice ginger, spice and biscuit finish. Like dunking a ginger snap in a hot sweet tea. More spice in the finish and some new wood notes (cedar?) and even tobacco. Very nice.
