Another solid Japanese whisky. The nose on this blend is very sweet, fruits, raisins, vanilla, even warm custard. With the raisin and vanilla notes I was reminded of rum and raisin flavored ice cream. The mouth feel is smooth and creamy with candy, caramel and cocoa powder. The finish has some wood, slightly bitter oak notes and spice and even a hint of salt. Very good stuff, almost as much a dessert as a whisky.
