This is a very good example of Irish single malt, Ireland is more typically known for it's blends or more recently the reintroduction of traditional pot still whiskies. The nose has malt, is fruity with some citrus, sweet biscuit (like sugar cookie dough) and even some bourbon notes. The taste was smooth and sweet with some banana, vanilla and nutty. Finish had some oak notes and tobacco, drying but still with some more sweet banana, toffee, chocolate. I have to assume there is some heavy bourbon influence in this expression.
