This is not one of the many typos on my wobsite. Wobsite, Ardbog, typo.... come on that's funny! This is Ardbog, a 2013 release from of my favorite distilleries Ardbeg. Matured in sherry casks and bottled at 52% ABV I had a feeling I would like this due to my extremely soft spot for smoke and sherry. The nose has salty peat, dried fruit and vanilla. The taste is sweet and smokey, sherry influence is evident along with citrus and spice. The finish has a sweet fudge note and more peat before some green oak finally pushes through. Good stuff.
