The nose on this Finnish (yes Finnish) single malt is very creamy, with milk chocolate, banana and vanilla. The taste has same creamy notes from nose, with cereal and more of the banana. The finish is spicy, even a little hot leaving the tongue a little numb. With water the cereal becomes biscuity (UK biscuit… not US) and a slightly bitter off note appears in finish. As with many emerging “world whiskies” it’s not bad, well made stuff, however I also doubt Scotland is developing a major “Real Scots don’t buy Finnish whisky” campaign any time soon.
