This is the unaged 100% rye spirit produced at Catoctin Creek Distillery in Virginia, diluted to 40% ABV and bottled. I tried it as part of a tasting flight when I visited the distillery in June 2014. The nose has mint and fresh cut grass. The taste is clean with more mint, floral and sweet. Rye pushes through late and into the spicy finish. Reminded me of Trebor Extra Strong mints (a UK thing). As bottled, unaged spirit goes, it was not the worse I have ever tried.
